Methodology and disclaimer

Well, there's always a first post, so be it. The intention behind this blog is to post exhaustive information regarding the Antarian Rangers (which isn't that difficult, since there's not much to start out with). Please discuss, comment, react to the information therein. More information and viewpoints will offer new perspectives.

The following posts have been taken from a guide I've just finished working on. For editing purposes, the structure of the guide has been changed to fit online readibility. This affects to a large extent the footnotes I had in the guide, so instead of a strict quote-footnote system, I have opted for a quotes-reference system. If needs be, I'll be more specifics on the quotes.

Also, the adaptation of the guide to online reading implied a change in the reading structure, so instead of a vertical hierarchy of information, it is closer to a horizontal hierarchy of information. I've adapted the various sections titles to reflect that, but the blog may still be a bit confusing to read. Again, changes will be made if needs be.

Methodology: I have used direct quotes from works cited in reference. Primary sources are the documents issued under the Lucas Licensing copyright, secondary sources are unofficial online encyclopedias. While writing this guide, I have taken the liberty to translate game-mechanics contents into skills, likes and dislikes or tactics that the Antarian Rangers may have. This is based upon the assumption that, if the Antarian Ranger playable character automatically gains certain skills, it is because, as a whole, the organization trains its members into them. I have refrained from using the numerical values – which are purely for the purpose of game-mechanics. However, I have sometimes indulged in charts and graphs representing orders of magnitudes inspired by the numerical values. Finally, given the scare amount of resources pertaining to the topic, I have done my best to resolve apparent contradictions between the sources and leave out as little as possible.

The Antarian Ranger logo may originate from Antarian Rangers players in the Star Wars Combine online game. It is reproduced here with respect of the original copyrights. Players of the Star Wars Combine have designed a good-looking logo and to my knowledge it constitutes the only attempt at designing a logo for the Antarian Rangers.
